Sports Most Enjoyable Activities

Sports is most enjoyable after school activities. Most kids like sport and as teacher we need to make sports more fun and creative so that it's become more interesting for the kids. Sports that encourage team work will help kids knows the important of friendship and friends.

Sports like soccer or football which involved running and kicking will give good exercise for kids thus this can make them healthier. Kid have lot of calories to burn, thus teacher have to be creative to meet the kids needs.

To increase participation in sport,teacher can reward the kid with small present as reward and the recognition to the winner for that games. Even though the value in dollar is small for trophy, but recognition and the memories that come later, is more valuable to the kids and parent. And in the near future for other people in the family.

Drawing Competition

After school activity that is very popular at my place is drawing competition. Kids like drawing and parent also love to see the kid ability to drawing. On march this year, my kid kindergarten school have organised a drawing competitions with 5 others kindergarten schools. This was held at community centre at Kampung Melayu Subang, Shah Alam Selangor, Malaysia. I think this is very successful program for after school activity. About 120 kids were involved at the age of 3 to 12 years old. This after school activity also give opportunity for the parents to get together sharing their kids performance and parenting problem among parents and also with their teachers. Thus helping teacher, parents and kid to improve themselves .

This after school activity also get support from local community leader and many companies that doing business in our neighbourhood. The company sponsor a lot of thing needed in this drawing competitions such as by giving drawing paper, color, balloons, drinks and some prize for the drawing competition winners. One of the sponsor is Solivite, a company that sponsor healthy drink to kids and parent. Other company sponsor lunch to the parents and kids. This after school activity is very successful with the cooperation from teachers, parents, kid and the sponsoring company.



This drawing competition is a annually after school activity at my place.
