Gardening

Gardening is one of the after school activity practice at various school in my country. Kids were taught how to grow flower tree or others such grown vegetables. It begins with set up a club like gardening club and student can enroll in this club. A teacher is assign to lead this club and make the relevant programs and activities.

Mostly this after school activity is held in the afternoon. Student and teacher who involved in this club will stay back at school. This club begin at 3.00 pm with the teacher giving some basic information the important of trees to human being and also how to grow a tree or vegetables. Because there are a lot of vegetable that can be grown, there a lot activity can be done. This activity is held once a week.

If the vegetable grow, the student can take the vegetable to cook at their home. This after school activity can create student to love tree and appreciate the nature. In addition, this activity can grow student interest in science and agriculture.

During school holiday, this gardening club, will bring student to visit many farm around the school or some place near by, so that student can see how agriculture farming is done.
